The Presidential Mentoring Award was established to recognize faculty members with outstanding contributions to the mentoring of Rice students. An emphasis is placed on mentoring graduate students and in particular those who are members of traditionally underrepresented groups. These few awardees were selected from a host of excellent nominees.
