This award is in honor of Dr. Corcoran and her many contributions to science, to women and minorities, and to Rice. It is given annually to a Rice faculty member who has made major contributions to the advancement of individuals representing a breadth of backgrounds and experiences in STEM fields, either in support of students at Rice or through local, state or national programs, with a particular commitment to engaged mentoring.
